Makita recognised a long time a go there was a need for power tools and cordless tools that fitted 2 types of buyers one the serious DIY user that expects a little more from their tools. The other being the tradesman that only has a requirement for a short period and does not want to invest heavily into a tool for occasional use. Makita satisfied both criteria by releasing the MT series by Makita power tools. Affordable but still meeting the expectation of users in the above contex.
