The Makita 40V Max Brushless 40mm Pipe Belt Sander is a specialised sander designed to sand, grind or polish curved surfaces such as steel handrails and pipe weld sections. The BS002GZ is designed for a variety of metal pipes with a maximum diameter of ø125mm (5") with the added features for smoother control and precision.

Its advanced brushless motor ensures stable material removal whilst under heavy pressure, ensuring consistent performance, minimising potential damage. The BS002GZ feature a soft start with variable speed control, which gradually increases motor speed upon startup, reducing sudden jolts and allowing for smoother operation.

The electronic brake also quickly stops the sanding belt when the trigger is released, with an additional safety feature of anti-restart preventing the tools from accidentally starting after the battery is replaced in the “on” position. The BS002GZ also features roller guides with raised edges designed to minimise belt disengagement, especially when sanding on various angles.
