The Vaughan steel eagle hammer has been solidly forged and manufactured from high quality American steel. Balanced and weighted correctly to improve swing and reduce fatigue. The steel is tapered and drilled at the handle end to improve head weight balance and reduce vibration transmission through the handle. This also provides a secure mounting point for the cushioned grip which is molded over and through the steel. Hardening the head and claws of the hammer to fine tolerances ensures that the correct level of hardness is achieved while maintaining the integrity of the steel. Made in the USA.
